Up for your consideration is a rare and unique antique or vintage Surcingle horse strap made of leather. It has a metal badge on it that says “T.E. Jeffries Maker Freehold NJ”. This is a unique piece of NJ history. I do not know if this is vintage or antique. If anyone has any information on this piece, I would love for you to share it with me and I will add it to the listing. More details— · The leather strap is 45” long · 1 1/2” wide at the ends · 3” wide at the middle top · 6 metal rivets on top · A magnet sticks to the 2 rivets on the handle and to the badge · A magnet does not stick to the other rivets. A few have oxidation · Thick leather handle. Overall the leather and stitching is very sturdy Condition: The leather is a little dry but still flexible. Some oxidation to the non-magnetic rivets. Discoloration, scuffs, and wear to the leather as shown in the photos. Overall the leather and stitching are sturdy. The badge is in good condition.
